Your responsibilities will encompass a wide array of activities designed to ensure client satisfaction and portfolio growth. This includes:

  • **Client Relationship Management:** Developing and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • **Financial Analysis and Strategy:** Conducting in-depth financial analyses of client portfolios, identifying needs, and developing bespoke banking and investment strategies.
  • **Personalised Service Delivery:** Proactively engaging with clients to offer tailored financial solutions and ensure the highest standards of service are consistently met.
  • **Compliance and Policy Adherence:** Ensuring all activities are conducted in full compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal organisational policies.
  • **Market Insight and Reporting:** Analysing industry trends and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making and contribute to overall business growth.
  • **Product Expertise:** Possessing a thorough understanding of a broad range of banking products, including credit, investment, and offshore offerings, to effectively serve client needs.

Liberty is seeking an individual with a proven track record in financial services, specifically within a relationship management or private banking context. A minimum of seven years of experience in the financial services sector is essential, with a specific emphasis on five to seven years dedicated to managing relationships within the high-net-worth segment.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • **Proven Relationship Management Skills:** Demonstrated success in client acquisition, retention, and the effective management of a private banking portfolio.
  • **Financial Acumen and Analytical Capability:** A strong ability to analyse clients' financial situations, identify opportunities, and develop value-driven, tailored financial solutions.
  • **Credit and Lending Expertise:** Experience in structuring credit applications and facilitating complex lending, investment, and offshore product arrangements.
  • **Technical Proficiency:** A deep understanding of banking processes, financial markets, and consumer banking products is crucial.
  • **Educational Background:** A relevant degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field, achieving at least NQF Level 7, is required.
  • **Regulatory Compliance:** Possession of a FAIS Representative certification is mandatory, in line with South African financial services regulations.

Requirements

  • FAIS aligned Degree in Business Commerce (NQF7 or higher)
  • FAIS Representative certification is mandatory, in line with regulatory requirements.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in financial services, with at least 5–7 years in a relationship management or private banking role.
  • Proven ability to analyse clients’ financial needs, identify opportunities, and deliver tailored financial solutions that create value for both client and bank.
  • Demonstrated success in client acquisition, retention, and portfolio management within a high-net-worth segment.
  • Experience in structuring credit applications and facilitating complex lending, investment, and offshore product offerings.
  • Proficient understanding of banking processes, financial acumen, and consumer banking products.
