About the Role

The Business Management Consultant will serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of Independent Financial Advisors. A key expectation of this position is the ability to cultivate and sustain enduring professional relationships. This involves not only understanding the intricate needs of our advisors but also proactively offering solutions that enhance their service delivery and business outcomes. Your in-depth knowledge of FNB Life, Investments, and other FirstRand group products will be crucial in providing guidance and support, effectively addressing queries and facilitating the adoption of our offerings. This role is about more than just product knowledge; it's about becoming a strategic partner to the advisors we serve.

Your responsibilities will be varied and impactful, focusing on driving success both for the advisors and for FirstRand. Key duties will include:

• **Relationship Management:** Building and strengthening rapport with Independent Financial Advisors, understanding their business goals, and acting as a trusted advisor.
• **Product Advocacy and Training:** Driving awareness and encouraging the uptake of FNB Life, Investments, and broader FirstRand financial solutions by providing comprehensive product guidance, support, and training.
• **Business Development:** Actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to support sales growth and expand market reach within the IFA channel.
• **Service Excellence:** Delivering exceptional service that consistently meets and exceeds advisor expectations, ensuring a positive and productive partnership.
• **Collaboration Facilitation:** Acting as a liaison between advisors and internal product specialists to address complex requirements and facilitate tailored solutions.
• **Market Intelligence:** Staying abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and new product enhancements to provide informed advice and strategic input.

What They're Looking For

To excel in this role, candidates will possess a blend of experience, skills, and a proactive mindset. The minimum requirements include:

• A Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• An NQF 5 qualification.
• A minimum of three to five years of experience in a Broker Consulting capacity, specifically within the Investments and IFA environment.
• At least three years of experience in Life Assurance.
• Relevant Class of Business training is essential.

Crucially, you will need:

• A strong understanding of Group Risk, Individual Life, and Investment products.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with a client-centric approach.
• Demonstrated commercial and sales acumen.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• A curious, adaptable nature and a genuine willingness to learn and grow.
• Comfort and willingness to travel locally as required.
• A solid technical understanding of the advisor process within the insurance sector.
