Key Responsibilities

The Corporate Broker will be tasked with a range of duties aimed at achieving departmental and organisational objectives. These include:

  • Ensuring that the corporate and multinational account offering meets its income and profit targets.
  • Managing staff behaviour, relationships with clients, and their staff through training, support, and motivation.
  • Facilitating the successful and ongoing placement of insurance policies, both locally and internationally.
  • Providing efficient support and assistance to corporate and multinational clients across all aspects of insurance offerings.
  • Implementing strategic objectives and capitalising on emerging business opportunities.
  • Regularising insurance covers and managing compliance issues according to international regulations.
  • Maintaining continuous awareness of available insurance products and their relevance in different markets.
  • Collaborating closely with partners and clients to achieve defined business goals.

To be considered for this role, candidates will need a strong educational foundation and substantial relevant experience.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum qualification of Grade 12/Matric is required.
  • A relevant business degree or similar qualification is essential, with a preference for majors in Risk, Finance, or Insurance.
  • A full qualification recognised by the Registrar is necessary.
  • Postgraduate or professional qualifications in risk management, coupled with relevant experience, would be advantageous.
  • Candidates may be required to pass FAIS exams, including a minimum of 60 credits, to meet the "Fit and Proper Requirements" as stipulated by FAIS legislation.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Wealth and Investment, Personal and Private Banking is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements within the banking industry is crucial.
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles, involving demand fulfillment (credit/banking/operations), with a focus on high service standards and problem resolution.
  • A solid understanding of available client products and services is essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar operational environment would be a distinct advantage.

Requirements

Type of Qualification: Minimum qualification – Grade 12/Matric Certificate together with a relevant business degree or similar [majors in Risk, Finance, Insurance will be an advantage]
Full Qualification as recognised by the Registrar.
Postgraduate or professional qualification in risk and relevant experience an advantage
Be prepared to write and pass KI examination should this be required and requested.
