The candidate will be responsible for executing daily accounting operations, meticulously preparing ledgers and financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial data. A key part of the role involves actively participating in the audit process. Key Responsibilities

The day-to-day responsibilities will centre on the diligent execution of accounting tasks. This includes:

  • Performing daily accounting operations with precision.
  • Preparing comprehensive ledgers and financial statements.
  • Ensuring the absolute accuracy and completeness of all financial data collected and processed.
  • Actively engaging in audit processes, offering support and insights.
  • Identifying and assessing potential risks within financial operations.
  • Developing and implementing measures to manage and mitigate identified risks.

To be successful in this role, candidates will need a strong foundation in finance and accounting, coupled with practical experience in product control within a banking setting. The ideal applicant will possess:

  • A postgraduate degree in Business Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
  • A professional qualification such as CA(SA).
  • Three to four years of experience in product control within a banking environment.
  • A proven ability to collaborate effectively and build networks to resolve complex issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing ledgers and financial statements, alongside other relevant accounting practices.
  • A track record of leveraging technical knowledge and data-driven arguments to influence outcomes and ensure accurate reporting.
  • An in-depth understanding of finance operations capabilities and specialised areas, with growing knowledge of core products and business lines.

3-4 years experience in demonstrated ability to collaborate and build networks to solve a range of complicated problems and analysing possible solutions.

3-4 years experience in demonstrated ability to prepare ledgers and financial statements and perform other relevant accounting practices.

3-4 years experience in Product Control in a banking environment.

3-4 years experience in demonstrated track record using technical knowledge, logical data driven arguments to influence people and the right reporting outcome.

3-4 years experience in developing in-depth knowledge about the Finance Operations capability as a whole and/ or in an area of specialisation, with growing knowledge of core products and business lines that are serviced.
