The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for a range of technical and collaborative tasks designed to elevate Takealot's logistical capabilities. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and optimising software systems that manage the end-to-end lifecycle of deliveries, encompassing both general parcels and specialised food items across the diverse South African landscape.
• Working collaboratively with business units to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within current delivery processes, and subsequently designing and implementing software-driven improvements.
• Undertaking research into emerging technologies and methodologies relevant to logistics and e-commerce fulfilment, with the aim of proposing and defining forward-thinking solutions.
• Contributing significantly to projects predominantly utilising open-source technologies and platforms.
• Assuming full responsibility for the software solutions developed, ensuring their robustness, scalability, and alignment with business objectives from inception to production.
