Payroll Analytics Internship - 12 Month Contract

OUTsurance is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team in Centurion on a 12-month contract basis as a Payroll Analytics Intern. About the role

This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in managing and enhancing payroll information systems (MIS). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the payroll department by ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility of critical payroll data. Working within a team environment, you will be exposed to various aspects of payroll administration and reporting, contributing to the smooth operation of the department. The role requires a proactive approach and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment, where multitasking and prioritisation are key.

The intern will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities that are vital to the effectiveness of the payroll function. These will include, but are not limited to:

• Developing and implementing new management information system (MIS) reports for payroll. This involves understanding reporting needs and translating them into functional reports.
• Managing user access to relevant systems, which includes granting and revoking permissions, as well as maintaining accurate records of user access levels.
• Conducting thorough testing of newly developed reports and processes to guarantee their accuracy and reliability before they are fully implemented.
• Assisting with SharePoint-related development for the payroll MIS, contributing to the organisation and accessibility of payroll data.
• Managing the DocuSign platform, ensuring efficient and secure document handling and approvals within the payroll context.
• Undertaking ad-hoc duties and special projects as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team’s broader objectives.

• Be a South African citizen.
• Have not previously participated in an internship or learnership programme with INSETA.
• Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
• Have been unemployed for the last two months.
