Job Description

This role focuses on driving sales performance within Commercial Asset Finance (CAF) for Liberty, operating within the Northern Cape province. The core responsibility involves executing approved asset-based finance transactions for a designated portfolio of clients, encompassing both new and existing customers across various market segments and industry sectors. A key aspect of the position will be to nurture and maintain strong post-sales relationships with clients. This proactive engagement is crucial not only for customer satisfaction but also for identifying opportunities to offer further asset-based finance solutions and foster client retention. Collaboration with Relationship Managers will be essential in this process.

About the Role

The Specialist, Commercial Asset Finance, will be instrumental in achieving the company's sales objectives for asset-based financing. This involves a hands-on approach to deal origination and execution, ensuring that all transactions are compliant with approved frameworks. The successful candidate will manage a specific client portfolio within the Northern Cape, understanding the unique needs and opportunities present in the provincial market. Key Responsibilities

The day-to-day responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Achieving set sales performance targets for Commercial Asset Finance within the allocated provincial portfolio.
  • Implementing and managing approved asset-based finance transactions for a diverse range of clients.
  • Developing and maintaining strong, ongoing relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for further asset-based finance solutions and client retention initiatives.
  • Collaborating effectively with Relationship Managers to leverage opportunities and provide integrated financial solutions.
  • Managing and nurturing relationships with dealers to facilitate asset finance deals.
  • Ensuring all transactions are conducted in line with regulatory requirements and company policies.

To be successful in this role, candidates will need a strong foundation in the financial services sector, specifically within asset and vehicle finance. The ideal applicant will possess a relevant First Degree in Business or Commerce and hold the RE5 qualification. A minimum of three to four years of experience in the vehicle and asset finance industry is required. This experience should encompass a proven track record in sales, client service, and deal-making. Furthermore, demonstrable experience in managing dealer relationships is essential.
