About the Role
This pivotal leadership position involves overseeing a team of Digital Campaign Specialists, ensuring the meticulous planning and successful execution of digital advertising campaigns. The focus will be on achieving predetermined targets and staying within allocated budgets. You will be instrumental in managing the entire lifecycle of digital advertising initiatives, from the initial client brief and enquiry right through to the final campaign closure and reporting. This includes coordinating with advertising sales teams, liaising with buyers and suppliers, managing creative assets through to approval, and ensuring timely campaign execution.
Key Responsibilities

- **Stakeholder Liaison:** Act as a key point of contact for clients regarding creative assets, ensuring clear communication and prompt approvals.
- **Campaign Execution:** Ensure the accurate and timely loading of campaigns onto relevant platforms.
- **Performance Analysis and Reporting:** Compile Proof of Engagement (POE) once campaigns are live, and generate detailed performance reports for clients, highlighting campaign delivery and insights.
- **Process Improvement:** Collaborate with the Advertising Sales Team Leader to identify and implement enhancements in the workflow between Digital Campaign Specialists and Advertising Sales Specialists for optimised campaign execution and reporting.
- **Innovation and Optimisation:** Proactively seek opportunities to improve campaign results and achieve cost efficiencies through innovative campaign production strategies.
- **Monitoring and Troubleshooting:** Conduct holistic monitoring to ensure on-schedule delivery, optimising campaigns based on client success metrics.
- **Data Analysis:** Perform comprehensive analysis of campaign performance and delivery, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- **Problem Resolution:** Address and resolve any targeting issues, traffic discrepancies, or reconciliation challenges that may arise.
- **Evaluation:** Measure and report on the success of advertising campaigns, comparing them against internal benchmarks where applicable.
What They're Looking For
To excel in this role, candidates will need a strong blend of leadership capabilities, digital marketing expertise, and hands-on campaign management experience.
- **Leadership Experience:** Proven experience in managing and leading a team is essential.
- **Digital Marketing Understanding:** A solid grasp of digital marketing principles and best practices is required.
- **Campaign Management Experience:** A minimum of three years of direct experience in managing digital advertising campaigns is a prerequisite.
- **Ad Serving Tool Proficiency:** Hands-on experience with DFP (Google Ad Manager) or similar ad serving platforms is a must.
- **Educational Background:** While a Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Marketing/Advertising is preferred, extensive relevant experience (at least 5 years) combined with a Matric certificate will also be considered.
- **Proactive and Results-Oriented:** A driven individual with a passion for achieving targets and optimising performance.
- **Problem-Solving Skills:** The ability to identify and resolve complex campaign-related issues effectively.
