The core of this role involves actively pursuing and acquiring new business. You will be tasked with identifying potential clients, understanding their unique fleet management needs, and presenting tailored solutions. This includes effectively articulating the value proposition of various offerings such as fleet cards, managed maintenance programmes, and full maintenance leasing options. Your responsibilities will extend to developing and implementing strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and industries.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Identifying, targeting, and securing new clients to grow the fleet management portfolio.
• Utilising industry knowledge and networking abilities to generate leads and uncover business prospects.
• Presenting and positioning a comprehensive suite of fleet solutions, including cards, managed maintenance, and full maintenance leasing.
• Developing and executing sales strategies to ensure market penetration.
• Effectively negotiating and closing deals to convert leads into signed agreements.
• Collaborating closely with relationship managers and internal teams to ensure a smooth client acquisition process.
• Consistently meeting or exceeding new business acquisition targets through proactive engagement and deal execution.

Essential qualifications and experience include:

• A first-degree qualification in Business or Commerce.
• Three to four years of experience within the fleet management industry.
• Demonstrable experience in leasing.
• A solid track record in sales, service, and deal-making.
• Experience in managing relationships with dealerships.
• Familiarity with Fleet Cards, Full Maintenance Rental, and Managed Maintenance solutions.

In terms of behavioural competencies, the ideal candidate will be adept at adopting practical approaches, convincing others, developing effective strategies, exploring possibilities, and interacting skilfully with people. Technical competencies should include a strong understanding of asset-based lending, financial acumen, an awareness of the Financial Industry Regulatory Framework, financial management skills, and in-depth knowledge of relevant products and services.
