Job Description
This role is based in the vibrant Western Cape and offers a unique opportunity to shape the learning and development landscape within Liberty's Personal & Private Banking division. The organisation is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as a Facilitator, focusing on delivering impactful learning programmes that address specific business needs.
As a key contributor, you will be instrumental in fostering a positive workforce experience by designing and delivering tailored learning initiatives. This involves collaborating closely with stakeholders to deeply understand their requirements and challenges. Your insights will be crucial in informing strategic decisions related to learning and development within the Centre of Expertise (CoE).
The position requires a proactive approach to interpreting current operational demands and anticipating future shifts in best practices. You will be responsible for implementing comprehensive, standardised learning solutions. A significant part of your role will involve prioritising initiatives and ensuring they align with the overarching goals of the CoE, while simultaneously catering to identified needs.
About the Role and Your Responsibilities
You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the employee experience by meticulously preparing for and facilitating engaging learning experiences. This includes critically evaluating learning content and the proposed delivery methods, aiming to create high-impact, innovative, and future-ready learning solutions. The emphasis will be on quick deployment and leveraging digital tools for an effective learning journey. You will also be expected to offer valuable suggestions on how to seamlessly integrate learning opportunities into various stages of an employee's career path.
A crucial aspect of your function will be to support e-learners, guiding them to successfully complete their learning programmes. This involves applying acquired knowledge and skills to deepen understanding and cultivate a positive and productive learning environment.
Furthermore, you will forge strong partnerships with learning architects, designers, and other stakeholders across the broader learning ecosystem. This collaboration is essential for developing a consistent and effective approach to positioning and marketing learning opportunities throughout the organisation.
Your responsibilities will extend to conducting assessments and moderations for qualifications that are delivered internally. This must be done in strict adherence to established quality standards and the requirements of governing bodies.
You will also contribute to evaluating the tangible impact of learning on the business. This involves providing feedback on the continued relevance and effectiveness of the learning programmes, ensuring they remain fit for purpose.
To foster innovation, you will actively curate information related to business changes and updates. This intelligence will be integrated into the delivery of sustainable learning journeys and experiences, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Finally, you will facilitate learning solutions that have implications across different geographies and business units. This will involve utilising appropriate pedagogical principles and methodologies, with a particular focus on leveraging digital innovation to address capability and performance gaps. You will also support campaign implementation by researching and preparing content for presentations and supporting materials, thereby raising awareness and visibility of internal offerings and people solutions.
What They're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of NQF Level 6 qualification in a relevant field such as Human Resources Management, Behavioural Science, Social Science, or Business. Crucially, you must also possess Facilitation, Assessor, and Moderator certifications.
In terms of experience, a minimum of 5 to 7 years in the learning and development sector is required. You should have a proven track record of facilitating learning programmes and a solid understanding of working with Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs).
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to articulate information clearly, pay meticulous attention to detail, and possess persuasive communication skills. You should be adept at developing strategies, directing individuals effectively, and embracing change with a positive attitude. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to manage tasks efficiently, meet deadlines, and provide insightful contributions. Maintaining composure under pressure and a proactive approach to taking action are also highly valued.
On the technical front, you should have proven decision-making capabilities, a thorough understanding of learning evaluation methodologies, and expertise in learning facilitation. Delivering effective solutions and working collaboratively within teams are key technical competencies. A strong grasp of workforce insights will enable you to align learning initiatives with business objectives.
