Solutions Architect

MongoDB is currently searching for a technically adept Solutions Architect to bolster its pre-sales division. About the role

This position is fundamentally about value articulation. While you will be deeply involved in the architectural design of software projects, you are also the technical face of the company during the sales process. Because this is a pre-sales function, you will act as a critical partner to the sales team. • **System Design:** Architect high-performance, scalable applications and infrastructure, specifically leveraging the MongoDB data platform.
• **Strategic Advising:** Act as an expert advisor for customers, helping them re-engineer existing applications to improve performance and operational efficiency.
• **Technical Sales Ownership:** Lead technical demos, sizing exercises, and documentation requirements to facilitate the end-to-end deal cycle.
• **Business Development:** Participate in industry events, trade shows, and account-based marketing initiatives to generate and nurture new technical leads.
• **Relationship Management:** Build long-term partnerships with customers, identifying internal champions and ensuring project success from the early stages of deployment.
• **Professional Growth:** Maintain an expert-level understanding of the MongoDB suite and broader industry trends, contributing to the internal refinement of the company’s processes.

• **Industry Experience:** Between 5 and 8 years of relevant professional experience, with a minimum of 2 years spent in a customer-facing or client-advisory capacity.

• **Systems Knowledge:** Proven ability to implement and manage distributed systems in both cloud and on-premises environments.

• **Language Skills:** Full professional fluency in both English and German.
• **Mobility:** A willingness to travel up to 25% of the time as business requirements dictate.

• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with a cross functional sales team to formulate and execute an end to end deal cycle.
• The ability to travel up to 25%.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Fluency in German and English required.
