Systems Integration Engineer

Entersekt is currently seeking an experienced Systems Integration Engineer to bolster their Technical Delivery team. As a prominent player in the global fintech space, Entersekt specialises in digital banking fraud prevention and secure transaction technology. This role is fully remote, offering a unique opportunity to work with high-stakes financial security infrastructure from anywhere in South Africa. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Director of Technical Delivery, acting as the primary technical point of contact for clients during the critical onboarding phase.

About the role

In this position, you will be the bridge between Entersekt’s sophisticated SaaS products and the unique technical environments of their global financial institution clients. You are expected to own the end-to-end integration process, ensuring that the design, deployment, and testing phases adhere to the highest platform standards.

This is not a purely internal role; it requires a balance of high-level technical expertise and professional communication skills, as you will be advising customer technical teams on how to best implement Entersekt’s SDKs and APIs. You will be responsible for identifying potential integration risks early in the lifecycle and applying your technical judgement to resolve issues before they impact the go-live phase.

Your daily responsibilities will revolve around ensuring that technical integrations are both robust and secure. You will:

• Design and document technical integrations, including data flows and authentication configurations.
• Provide technical guidance to clients on using Entersekt’s APIs and SDKs to ensure seamless implementation.
• Lead technical testing initiatives across various environments, from pre-production to the final live launch.
• Perform root-cause analysis and structured fault diagnosis when integration hurdles arise.
• Collaborate closely with internal Implementation Engineers to ensure that the final system configuration matches the approved architecture.
• Manage communication with client stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the onboarding process.

• Technical proficiency with REST/SOAP APIs and web services architecture.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and infrastructure, specifically PKI, TLS/SSL, and certificate management.
• Proven success in managing complex technical integrations from the design phase through to delivery.
• Experience using project management and ticketing software such as Jira or Zendesk.
