You will be instrumental in developing and executing strategies for structured products, ensuring they align with client objectives and the broader organisational goals. This is a client-facing role that demands a deep understanding of financial markets and a proactive approach to business development.

  • **Client Engagement and Management:** Cultivate and deepen relationships with clients through regular contact, insightful presentations, and the provision of relevant trade ideas. Your ability to articulate complex product benefits and features confidently and creatively will be crucial. You'll also be responsible for assessing client requirements and broadening the existing client base within Africa and internationally.
  • **Product Development and Market Innovation:** Contribute to the development of new structured products and solutions designed to address the specific needs of clients across the African continent and beyond. This includes staying abreast of market trends and identifying opportunities for innovation.
  • **Market Development:** Actively participate in market development initiatives, such as seminars and conferences, to enhance the organisation's profile and establish it as a leading financial partner within the African markets.
  • **Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:** Foster strong working relationships with internal teams, including Global Markets, Client Coverage, Investment Banking, and other business units, to identify cross-selling opportunities. You will also manage relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring ethical conduct and safeguarding the organisation's business interests.

What They're Looking For

To excel in this senior management position, candidates will need a combination of extensive experience, a strong financial acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills.

**Essential Qualifications and Experience:**

  • A first degree in Business Commerce, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Other qualifications may be considered based on relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Global Markets client management, with a proven track record of partnering with clients to develop innovative and impactful solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesise information from multiple data sources to drive disruptive innovation and solutioning.
  • Proficient knowledge of cross-asset structured products.
  • A solid understanding of Global Markets, various client sectors, competitive landscapes, and the associated risk and regulatory environments across Africa and international markets.

**Key Competencies:**

Candidates will be assessed on a range of behavioural and technical competencies, including:

  • **Behavioural:** Self-confidence, convincing others, developing expertise, strategic thinking, embracing change, exploring possibilities, interpersonal skills, decision-making, seizing opportunities, composure, taking action, and upholding standards.
