Job Description
Rillet, a high-growth technology firm currently valued at $1 billion, is looking to bolster its operations with a seasoned Deployment Lead. Having secured over $200 million in funding, the company is positioning itself as a modern leader in financial infrastructure. They are seeking a professional who can bridge the gap between sophisticated technical architecture and the practical needs of finance teams.
This is a remote position that calls for an individual capable of managing high-stakes implementations. You will serve as the primary navigator for customers transitioning to Rillet’s platform, ensuring that their migration is seamless and that the product is fully integrated into their existing financial ecosystem.
About the role
As a Deployment Lead, your primary mandate is to facilitate the successful onboarding of clients. Because Rillet’s software is designed to automate complex accounting processes, the success of a deployment relies heavily on your ability to understand a client's current state and guide them toward a more efficient, automated future.
You will act as the central point of contact, balancing the needs of the customer with the internal constraints and capabilities of the Product and Engineering teams. This requires a unique blend of technical aptitude, project management discipline, and the emotional intelligence required for effective change management. You aren't just implementing software; you are helping finance departments rethink how they manage their books.
What you’ll do
Your daily schedule will involve managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, ensuring that no milestone is missed and that stakeholders remain informed at every stage of the project.
- **Customer Guidance:** Lead the onboarding journey, providing training and support to ensure high levels of product adoption.
- **Workflow Analysis:** Deep-dive into client accounting workflows to translate complex manual tasks into automated system requirements.
- **Technical Coordination:** Assist with the heavy lifting of data migration, system reconciliations, and third-party integrations.
- **Risk Management:** Proactively identify project bottlenecks and escalate issues before they compromise the implementation timeline.
- **Documentation:** Maintain meticulous records of deployment status and configuration, ensuring transparency for all project stakeholders.
What they’re looking for
Rillet is looking for a professional who has "been there and done that" regarding ERP systems. They value experience that combines accounting domain knowledge with the fast-paced nature of the SaaS industry.
- **Experience:** You should have 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in ERP implementations, finance transformation, or systems consulting.
- **ERP Proficiency:** Hands-on experience with major industry players such as NetSuite, SAP, or Workday is essential.
- **Accounting Fluency:** A strong grasp of core accounting principles is required to effectively communicate with finance leaders.
- **Communication:** You must be comfortable in client-facing roles, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical staff and vice versa.
- **Adaptability:** Given the company’s growth trajectory, you must be comfortable working in an environment that is often ambiguous and evolves quickly.
In the South African context, a role of this seniority typically commands a competitive salary, often ranging from R80,000 to R130,000+ per month depending on the candidate's specific level of expertise and experience with multinational ERP systems. For those currently working within the SA accounting or tech consultancy sectors, this is a prime opportunity to move into a global product environment. Such roles are often stepping stones toward Senior Project Manager or Head of Implementation positions within the international SaaS space, offering significant potential for long-term career progression in remote-first organizations.
