You'll be instrumental in fostering relationships with corporate clients and their employees, delivering tailored financial solutions and identifying opportunities to migrate valuable clients into the bank's prestigious Private Banking and Prestige offerings.
About the Role
The core of this position revolves around proactively engaging with businesses and their workforces. You will be the face of Standard Bank, conducting onsite activations and workplace engagements designed to introduce and promote bundled banking solutions. - Spearheading new client acquisition through the organisation and execution of onsite banking days, workplace presentations, and other engagement initiatives.
- Cultivating robust, long-term relationships with both organisational decision-makers and their employees to drive the adoption of EVB services.
- Conducting thorough needs analyses for individuals and businesses, recommending appropriate transactional accounts, lending products, and investment solutions.
- Proactively identifying and facilitating the migration of qualifying clients into the bank’s Private Banking and Prestige client segments.
- Consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets through strategic prospecting, effective cross-selling, and the organic growth of your client portfolio.
- Ensuring client satisfaction and retention by delivering exceptional service and providing ongoing value.
What They're Looking For

You should possess the confidence and skill to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, from corporate executives to individual employees.
Essential qualifications and experience include:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Banking, Finance, or a related field, or an Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) that is FAIS-recognised.
- A FAIS-recognised qualification, specifically the RE5 Regulatory Examination for Representatives.
- A valid driver’s licence and the flexibility to travel to various client sites.
- Demonstrated ability to meet FAIS Fit and Proper requirements.
- A minimum of three to five years of comprehensive banking experience, with exposure to personal, private, or business banking operations.
- A documented history of successful proactive sales within the financial services industry.
- The ability to confidently and professionally engage with company decision-makers and employee groups.
- Experience with Employer Value Banking (EVB) or Workplace Banking initiatives, affluent client segments, and a solid understanding of credit, lending, and transactional products.
- A proven capacity for delivering results in client acquisition, portfolio growth, client retention, and the execution of onsite activation events.
