- Identifying and quantifying significant liquidity and capital risks that may arise from the organisation's business models and strategic direction.
- Interfacing with senior stakeholders, including industry representatives, regulators, and Group-level staff, to discuss and address technical aspects of liquidity and capital risk.

- Significant experience and a deep understanding of market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, and other risk disciplines.
- In-depth knowledge of both developed and developing financial markets, with a particular emphasis on and practical experience within Sub-Saharan African markets.
- Specialist knowledge and practical experience in liquidity and capital management, ideally gained within a large, complex banking institution with exposure to both wholesale and retail banking sectors. This specific experience is a non-negotiable requirement.
- The ability to analyse complex financial situations, identify potential risks, and propose effective management strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse stakeholders at senior levels.
