Job Description
Sofatutor, a prominent European EdTech platform with over a million users, is seeking a dedicated Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist to join their dynamic Product Growth Team. This fully remote position, open to candidates within the EMEA region, offers a unique opportunity to directly influence the company's growth trajectory by optimising the user journey and increasing the conversion of parents into loyal, subscribing customers. The role is integral to sofatutor’s mission of providing effective learning support for children, and your contributions will have a tangible and measurable impact on the business’s success.
About the role
The core of this position revolves around driving user acquisition, activation, and retention for sofatutor’s subscription-based educational products. You will be at the forefront of designing and implementing strategic A/B tests, meticulously managing the entire experimentation process from conception through to evaluation. Your work will be crucial in transforming potential users into engaged customers, thereby supporting children’s learning journeys. This is a hybrid role within the Product Growth Team, requiring a proactive and data-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. The position typically involves a 32-40 hour work week.
Key Responsibilities
As a CRO Specialist at sofatutor, your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of optimisation activities, all aimed at enhancing user conversion and subscription rates. You will be instrumental in:
- **Experimentation Design and Execution:** Conceptualise, design, and implement growth experiments across the entire user funnel. This includes defining hypotheses, setting up tests, and monitoring their performance from initiation to completion.
- **Pipeline Management:** Maintain a well-organised and prioritised pipeline of experiments. This prioritisation will be based on a thorough assessment of potential impact, the resources required, and the learning value each experiment offers.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Work closely with design, engineering, and other key stakeholders. Your role will involve translating testing concepts into meticulously planned and executed experiments, ensuring seamless integration and efficient development.
- **Opportunity Identification:** Leverage a variety of data sources, including analytics, user research, competitor analysis, and established best practices, to identify key areas for optimisation and formulate robust hypotheses for testing.
- **Insight Sharing and Learning:** Communicate experiment results, key insights, and learnings clearly and transparently to the wider team and relevant stakeholders. This fosters alignment, promotes a culture of continuous improvement, and informs future strategic decisions.
What they're looking for
To excel in this role, sofatutor is seeking candidates with a proven ability to drive measurable results through data-informed optimisation strategies. Essential qualifications include:
- **Experience:** A minimum of 2 to 4+ years of direct experience in conversion rate optimisation (CRO), website optimisation, or similar growth-focused roles.
- **Track Record:** A demonstrable history of designing and executing A/B tests that have yielded significant, measurable business outcomes, such as increased conversion rates or substantial revenue uplift.
- **Experimentation Acumen:** Experience working within high-velocity testing environments is crucial. You should possess a strong drive to continuously enhance experimentation speed without compromising the quality of the tests or the depth of the learnings derived.
- **Analytical Skills:** Advanced analytical capabilities are a must. You should have hands-on experience interpreting quantitative data from analytics platforms like Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Amplitude, or Power BI.
- **Strategic Thinking:** Strong conceptual thinking skills are required to effectively structure and prioritise experiments in alignment with overarching strategic growth objectives.
- **Design Proficiency:** Proficiency in Figma or a comparable design tool is essential. You should be capable of independently producing high-fidelity, multi-variant test concepts.
- **Communication:** Excellent English communication skills are vital, enabling you to present insights and strategies effectively to stakeholders across various departments and seniority levels.
- **Tool Familiarity:** Experience with A/B testing tools, such as Convert, and familiarity with complementary insight tools like Hotjar are expected. While not strictly required, experience with German language could be beneficial for understanding customer needs in DACH markets.
