Job Description

AlixPartners is seeking a skilled Product Marketing Manager to join their dynamic team. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. The company specialises in tackling intricate business challenges by transforming data-driven insights into practical, innovative solutions that create enduring value for organisations, their people, and the wider communities they operate within. Their technology products are a key part of this mission, designed to foster significant improvements and drive sustainable commercial success. AlixPartners is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive workplace, where diversity of thought and experience is not only valued but actively encouraged. They strive to create an environment of authenticity, growth, and equity.

About the Role

As a Product Marketing Manager at AlixPartners, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of the firm's expanding suite of technology products. Your core responsibility will be to own and drive the marketing programmes that elevate these products within the organisation. This involves a deep understanding of the technology's capabilities and the ability to articulate its value proposition in a clear, compelling manner to various internal audiences. You'll be instrumental in fostering product visibility and encouraging feature adoption through well-crafted marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role are varied and strategic. You will be tasked with developing and executing marketing campaigns designed to increase awareness and drive the adoption of AlixPartners' technology products across the firm. This includes crafting clear value narratives that resonate with different stakeholders, translating complex technical features into tangible business benefits. A crucial aspect of your work will involve building and nurturing relationships with key internal stakeholders, acting as the primary conduit between the Platforms product team and the central marketing function.

Your remit will extend to developing a structured strategy for building awareness and encouraging adoption of the Platforms portfolio. You'll also serve as a vital channel for gathering and relaying user feedback, ensuring that the product roadmap is informed by real-world usage and experience. A key component of this role involves leveraging marketing automation tools to build and maintain efficient workflows, as well as defining, tracking, and reporting on engagement metrics that align with adoption and awareness objectives. You will also be responsible for delivering product demonstrations, both live and recorded, to various internal groups.

What They're Looking For

To excel in this position, candidates should possess a minimum of six years of relevant experience in product marketing or product management. A proven history of successfully building and executing internal marketing campaigns or enterprise B2B marketing initiatives is essential. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are a must, alongside the ability to confidently present and demonstrate products to diverse audiences. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills are paramount, as you'll be working closely with various teams within the organisation. An analytical mindset, coupled with experience in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), is also important for measuring the success of marketing efforts. Experience in developing comprehensive marketing strategies and creating repeatable playbooks will be highly advantageous. While a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred, practical experience will be strongly considered. Prior experience within a professional services or consulting firm environment, ideally for two years or more, would be a significant asset.

For professionals in South Africa, a Product Marketing Manager role with these responsibilities could typically attract a salary ranging from R600,000 to R900,000 per annum, depending on experience and the specific sector. Common employers for such roles include consulting firms, financial institutions, and technology companies. Career progression often involves moving into senior product marketing roles, leading marketing teams, or transitioning into broader product management or strategic marketing positions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant Product Marketing or Product Management experience.
  • Proven track record of building and executing internal or Enterprise B2B marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable presenting and demoing products to diverse audiences.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset with experience defining and tracking KPIs.
  • Experience building marketing strategies and repeatable playbooks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional services or consulting firm environment is a plus.
