Job Description

At auxmoney, a prominent European fintech platform, an opportunity exists for a seasoned Senior Salesforce Developer to join a forward-thinking, customer-centric team. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about crafting robust Salesforce solutions that directly enhance the user experience for thousands of customers. You'll be positioned at the confluence of technology, product development, and business strategy, contributing to the creation of scalable platform capabilities and dependable workflows that underpin auxmoney's leading fintech operations. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility for candidates located within Germany.

About the Role

This position demands a holistic approach to Salesforce development, encompassing the entire lifecycle from initial design through to deployment and ongoing maintenance. You will be instrumental in architecting, implementing, and refining high-quality Salesforce solutions. This involves working extensively with Apex, Flows, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and sophisticated data models. A key aspect of this role is taking full technical ownership, ensuring that solutions are not only functional but also adhere to the highest standards of architecture, testability, and performance. The aim is to build and maintain a platform that is both reliable and scalable, supporting auxmoney's growth and commitment to customer satisfaction.

You will also play a critical part in elevating the overall engineering standards within the team. This includes defining and advocating for best practices in platform standards, coding conventions, and the crucial process of code reviews. As a trusted technical authority, you'll guide the team in adopting these principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality code output. Mentoring junior and mid-level developers will be an integral part of the role, achieved through collaborative techniques like pair programming and structured knowledge-sharing sessions, ultimately multiplying the team's collective impact.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities in this role are diverse and crucial to the platform's success:

  • **End-to-End Solution Delivery:** Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality Salesforce solutions using Apex, Flows, LWC, and data models, taking full technical ownership from conceptualisation to release.
  • **Architecture and Best Practices:** Apply principles of clean architecture, ensuring testability and optimal performance. Champion maintainable code standards across the Salesforce platform.
  • **User Experience Design:** Design and optimise Lightning Web Components, focusing on exceptional performance, intuitive interaction patterns, and creating usable, scalable user experiences.
  • **Security Implementation:** Implement robust security and sharing models, aligning with Salesforce's security framework, including profiles, permission sets, role hierarchies, sharing rules, and field-level security.
  • **Integration Development:** Design and implement integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, platform events, and connectors, employing resilient patterns, strong authentication, and thorough error handling.
  • **Scalability Optimisation:** Develop solutions that respect Salesforce governor limits, enforcing best practices for bulk processing, caching, transaction management, and asynchronous operations.
  • **Engineering Standards:** Define, champion, and enforce platform standards, coding conventions, and code review processes.
  • **Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing:** Coach and guide junior developers through pair programming, structured knowledge sharing, and practical advice to enhance team productivity.
  • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with Product, Data, and Operations teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical designs and delivery plans.
  • **Testing and Reliability:** Establish expectations for unit and integration testing, ensuring strong and reliable test coverage to support safe and consistent deployments. Maintain platform reliability through documentation, architectural decision records, and knowledge sharing.

What They're Looking For

Auxmoney is seeking a candidate with extensive experience and a strong technical aptitude in Salesforce development. Key requirements include:

  • A minimum of 8 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments, with a proven history of delivering impactful solutions at scale.
  • Advanced proficiency in Salesforce Flows and a high level of competence in Apex and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). The ability to discern and select the most appropriate approach across declarative (Flow) and programmatic (Apex) development is essential.
  • Deep expertise in Lightning Web Components (LWC), including understanding their lifecycle, reactivity, performance tuning, and UI/UX best practices.
  • A strong understanding of Salesforce's security and sharing model, with a proactive approach to designing for the principle of least privilege.
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs, OAuth, and credentials management. The capacity to choose suitable integration patterns for complex scenarios is vital.
  • A consistent application of best practices for governor limits, bulk processing, transactions, asynchronous operations, and error handling, with the ability to guide others in these areas.
  • Fluency in using Git for version control and pull requests, along with practical experience in CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce, such as Salesforce DX and GitHub Actions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

While not mandatory, candidates with German language skills, relevant Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I or II, or progress towards an Architect certification), and experience with managed packages, platform events, or data loading tools like Data Loader or ETL solutions would be considered advantageous.
