Job Description

The role of Senior Creative Strategist, based remotely, is a pivotal position within Quince's expansion efforts into the UK and European markets. This individual will be instrumental in bridging Quince's successful creative approaches developed in the United States with the specific cultural nuances and consumer behaviours found in the UK and key European territories like Germany and France. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of performance marketing, coupled with a strategic mind capable of dissecting complex business challenges and transforming insights into actionable, revenue-generating creative strategies.

This is a hands-on role, demanding not only creative flair but also a robust analytical capability. The Senior Creative Strategist will be responsible for identifying which creative assets are performing exceptionally well in the US and skillfully adapting them to resonate with UK and German/French audiences. This adaptation isn't just about translation; it involves a deep dive into market-specific consumer behaviour and a strategic reimagining of creative to drive customer acquisition and boost revenue growth in these new territories.

About the role

The Senior Creative Strategist will be the architect of Quince's creative testing and learning framework within the UK and EU. This involves establishing and refining processes that allow the European teams to move with agility, meticulously document their findings, and effectively scale successful creative campaigns. Maintaining a strong alignment with Quince's established brand identity throughout this process will be paramount. You'll act as the primary conduit between the needs and feedback from the UK and DE/FR markets and the central creative and production teams based in the US.

A significant aspect of this role will be the continuous improvement of conversion rates and overall spend efficiency. This will be achieved through the implementation of a rigorous, data-driven testing cadence. By closely analysing performance metrics, you'll inform strategic direction and guide the evolution of creative output. This position is essential for establishing Paid Social as a significant growth engine for Quince in the UK, Germany, and France, requiring close collaboration with the Director of Paid Social for these regions, as well as brand, design, and broader marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Senior Creative Strategist are multifaceted and critical to the success of Quince's international growth:

  • **Creative Adaptation and Optimisation:** Consistently identify high-performing US creative assets and strategically adapt them to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth in the UK and German/French markets.
  • **Experimentation Framework Management:** Own and develop the experimentation framework that empowers the EU/UK team to test creative concepts, learn rapidly, and scale successful campaigns, ensuring brand integrity remains intact.
  • **Cross-Market Liaison:** Serve as the key creative liaison, effectively communicating UK & DE/FR market needs to US-based creative and production teams, and vice versa.
  • **Performance Improvement:** Enhance win rates and improve the efficiency of marketing spend through a disciplined, data-backed testing strategy.
  • **Strategic Partnership:** Act as a strategic partner to the Director of Paid Social UK & DE/FR, contributing insights and direction to cross-functional brand, design, and marketing initiatives.
  • **Data-Informed Strategy:** Leverage performance data and market insights to inform and shape overarching creative strategy.

What they're looking for

Quince seeks a candidate with a proven track record and a specific set of skills to excel in this dynamic role:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in creative strategy and marketing is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in Paid Social and/or Direct Response marketing, with a strong understanding of Meta platforms, is a prerequisite.
  • Proven experience working across multiple international markets, ideally including the UK and/or DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) regions, with an understanding of how to tailor creative for diverse audiences.
  • A strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make confident, data-backed creative decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting compelling briefs and persuasive copy across various formats.
  • Experience in managing creative testing frameworks and reporting on their outcomes.
  • Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple briefs, markets, and workstreams concurrently.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in German or French would be a significant advantage.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and demonstrate strong collaboration skills across creative and marketing departments.

For South African professionals considering a role like this, it's worth noting that senior creative strategy positions, especially those with an international scope and requiring performance marketing expertise, can command competitive salaries. While specific figures vary widely based on experience and the company's remuneration structure, roles of this nature often fall within the higher salary bands in the marketing and advertising sector. Employers often range from established tech companies and e-commerce brands like Quince to digital agencies and multinational corporations looking to expand their reach. Career progression typically involves moving into more senior strategic leadership roles, managing larger teams or overseeing broader market initiatives.

Requirements

  • Paid Social and/or Direct Response experience required, with strong Meta expertise
  • Demonstrated experience working across markets; ideally including UK and/or DACH, with an understanding of how to adapt creative for different audiences
