About the Role

The company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II with a specialisation in Applied AI to join their dynamic Agentic Systems team. This role is crucial in developing sophisticated AI agents designed to automate intricate workflows for various teams within Wrapbook. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of automated financial processes within the production industry. This position is offered as a remote opportunity, accessible to candidates based in the USA or Canada.

In this senior engineering position, your primary focus will be on designing, building, and deploying production-ready AI agents. You will utilise LangGraph, a powerful framework for orchestrating complex AI applications, to automate multi-step workflows. A key aspect of the role involves deploying, running, and scaling these agents on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, ensuring their reliability and efficiency in a cloud environment.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams across Wrapbook to identify high-impact workflows that can be transformed into agent-driven solutions. This involves understanding existing processes, identifying areas for automation, and translating those needs into functional AI agent designs. Furthermore, you will be responsible for integrating these newly developed agents with Wrapbook's existing internal systems, APIs, and various third-party tools, ensuring seamless data flow and operational synergy.

A significant part of your contribution will also involve establishing robust evaluation and observability frameworks. These systems will be essential for measuring the quality, performance, and effectiveness of the AI agents, allowing for continuous improvement. You will play a vital role in defining reusable patterns, developing shared tools, and championing best practices within the AI engineering discipline at Wrapbook. Driving the adoption of these agents will also be a key responsibility, achieved through creating clear and comprehensive documentation and delivering effective training sessions to relevant teams.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in back-end development, with a minimum of six years of experience. Proficiency in Python is essential, and experience with TypeScript/Node.js or Java is also highly valued. Crucially, you must have hands-on experience in building and successfully deploying LLM-powered agents. A solid understanding of at least one established agent or LLM framework is a prerequisite for this role, demonstrating your practical application of these technologies.
