Product Manager

About the Role

This is a hands-on position where you will act as a crucial link between abstract business concepts and tangible product realities. You will collaborate closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the engineering team, and various business stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to transform vague or incomplete business ideas into well-defined product requirements, comprehensive user flows, and actionable delivery plans. The role requires working within Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours. While not strictly mandatory, experience within the fintech sector is highly desirable.

Your day-to-day activities will involve a broad spectrum of product development responsibilities. You will be instrumental in:

• **Requirement Definition:** Taking nebulous business requests and elaborating them into precise requirements, detailed user flows, low-fidelity wireframes, and well-articulated user stories.
• **Backlog Management:** Owning the refinement and prioritisation of the product backlog. This will involve balancing business value, urgency, potential risks, interdependencies, and the estimated engineering effort required for each item.
• **Agile Planning and Execution:** Planning and coordinating sprints and releases effectively. This includes diligent management of scope, identification and mitigation of blockers, assessment and management of risks, and adapting to evolving requirements.
• **Stakeholder Collaboration:** Engaging directly with the CTO, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure clarity on requirements, navigate technical and product trade-offs, make sound, practical decisions, and meticulously document significant changes.

• **Product Development Skills:** Proven ability to translate abstract business concepts into concrete deliverables, including requirements, user flows, wireframes, and executable plans. Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, Miro, FigJam, or Whimsical is expected.
• **Technical Acumen:** Comfort in direct engagement with CTOs and engineering teams. This includes the ability to discuss technical constraints, critically assess assumptions, and make decisive product choices within a dynamic startup setting.
• **Communication:** Strong written and verbal English proficiency is essential. Fluency in Russian is a mandatory requirement for this role.
• **Professional Stability:** A stable employment history, generally indicating 2-3 years or more per previous role, or the ability to provide credible explanations for any shorter engagements.
• **Industry Experience:** While not essential, prior experience in fintech, payments, banking, B2B SaaS, financial operations, or other heavily regulated industries will be a significant advantage.
