• Translate functional requirements into detailed and effective test cases.
• Champion the automation of manual testing processes to increase efficiency and coverage.
• Create and maintain essential documentation, including test reports and validation protocols for various testing types.
• Conduct rigorous acceptance, regression, functional, and stress testing to identify and resolve defects.
• Engage with stakeholders to address testing-related queries and contribute to application enhancement discussions.
• Employ risk-based testing methodologies to prioritise efforts and ensure critical areas are adequately covered.
• Develop and refine Software Test Specifications, including those for unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Scrutinise requirements, specifications, and project documentation to ensure clarity and testability.
• Maintain strict version control and configuration management practices.
• Design and build robust test scripts to facilitate seamless implementation.
• Provide valuable mentorship and guidance to junior members of the testing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in software testing.
• Demonstrable expertise with industry-standard testing tools such as SoapUI, Selenium, and JMeter.
• Solid experience working within agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Exposure to or experience with load and performance testing.
• An ISEB or ISTQB Foundation Certification is a non-negotiable requirement.
• A 3-year IT diploma or a relevant tertiary degree in Information Technology or a related field.
