Executive Financial Planner

A prominent financial services group is seeking an Executive Financial Planner to join their team in Msunduzi, Pietermaritzburg. This role is crucial for addressing the complex financial and estate planning needs of a diverse client base, including Private and Business Banking clients, encompassing Signature, Premium, Growth, and Commercial Banking segments. About the Role

The Executive Financial Planner will be instrumental in providing comprehensive financial and estate planning services. • Providing expert advice on various financial products and services, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, particularly concerning FAIS (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services) requirements.
• Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Staying abreast of market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact financial planning.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring their financial objectives are met and their estates are appropriately planned.

• A relevant tertiary qualification, such as a Diploma in Banking or a First Degree in Business/Commerce.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in client coverage, specifically within the consumer and high-net-worth segments.
• Proven experience across all product categories as mandated by FAIS for SBFC (Standard Bank Financial Consulting), including Business Assurance.
• Demonstrated financial acumen and the ability to perform in-depth financial analysis.
• A strong understanding of the financial industry's regulatory framework and legal compliance.
• Proficiency in interpreting financial statements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, coupled with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and produce high-quality output.
• The capacity to build rapport, understand client needs, and develop expertise in financial planning.
