Solutions Engineer

They are seeking a Solutions Engineer to bridge the gap between their sophisticated software platform and the high-stakes, security-focused environments of their clients.

About the role

In this position, you will operate at the intersection of product engineering, infrastructure deployment, and compliance. This is not a standard software implementation role; it requires a deep understanding of secure architecture and the ability to navigate stringent technical requirements. You will serve as the technical lead during the deployment lifecycle, ensuring that Onebrief’s solutions are not only operational but also fully compliant with the rigorous security standards required in military and defence-adjacent sectors.

The role involves significant travel—between 30% and 50% of your time will be spent on-site with customers, participating in exercises, and overseeing field implementations. You will be expected to remain calm under pressure, acting as the primary technical interface for stakeholders who require precision, reliability, and clear communication.

Your daily contributions will focus on translating complex customer workflows into stable, scalable technical architectures. You will collaborate closely with internal Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Cybersecurity teams to ensure every deployment is production-ready.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting technical discovery sessions to identify user pain points and map out existing operational workflows.
• Leading end-to-end deployment engineering, which encompasses infrastructure validation, network configuration, and environment setup.
• Assisting with the accreditation process by authoring and reviewing detailed security documentation.
• Managing the technical scoping and integration of Onebrief Connect.
• Delivering high-fidelity product demonstrations and leading pilot deployments in new, challenging environments.
• Synthesizing field experiences into reusable implementation patterns and structured workflows to improve future deployments.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technical field.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Demonstrable expertise in containerisation and orchestration.
• Practical experience with both public cloud platforms and on-premises virtualisation.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
