About the Learnership Programme

Participants in the Tsholofelo Programme will have the opportunity to rotate through and contribute to several key operational areas within Liberty. Depending on the specific placement, your responsibilities could include:

• **Insurance Risk & Execution:** Assisting in the vital task of monitoring and ensuring the quality of banking application forms submitted via branch networks. This involves verifying that applications are completed accurately, adhere to all required standards, and meet both operational and regulatory mandates.
• **Insurance Servicing:** Providing administrative support for Funeral and Credit Life policies. This could encompass tasks such as policy amendments, responding to customer enquiries, processing refunds, and resolving various servicing-related issues to ensure client satisfaction.
• **Insurance Retention Services:** Engaging directly with policyholders who are considering cancelling their policies. Your role will involve understanding their needs, addressing their concerns effectively, and employing service and relationship management strategies to support customer retention.
• **Multi-Channel Service & Sales:** Supporting existing clients across various service channels, while also contributing to indirect sales activities. The focus here is on delivering exceptional customer experiences and fostering client loyalty.
• **Fraud Detection:** Gaining exposure to the critical functions of fraud monitoring and detection. This involves identifying suspicious transactions, working to mitigate financial losses, protecting customers from fraudulent activities, and contributing to the enhancement of the organisation's fraud risk management capabilities.
• **Multi-Channel Sales & Customer Activation:** Participating in initiatives aimed at customer acquisition, product activation, and building strong client relationships, including employer-led banking programmes. This area focuses on developing capabilities in customer engagement, sales, and business development within a performance-oriented setting.

• Be a South African citizen.
• Identify as a person with a disability.
• Hold a completed Diploma, Degree, or an equivalent NQF qualification.
• Be currently unemployed and available to participate in a full-time learnership programme for its duration.
• Not be registered on any other learnership programme or undertaking full-time/part-time studies that may conflict with the programme's work hours.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective client and colleague interaction.
• Possess a genuine willingness to learn, develop, and grow within the financial services sector.
• Exhibit basic computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Graduates with qualifications in fields such as Business Management, Commerce, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Insurance, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing, Customer Experience, Public Management, Human Resources, Psychology, Law, or Communications are particularly encouraged to apply, though this list is not exhaustive.

This learnership, commencing on 15 November 2026 and concluding on 30 April 2028, offers a monthly stipend of R10,000 plus medical aid. The programme is based in Johannesburg. Applications close on 06 September 2026.
