About the role
As a Business Management Consultant, you will serve as the primary point of contact for Independent Financial Advisors, taking ownership of the relationship. Your core responsibility will be to build and maintain these crucial connections, ensuring advisors feel supported and valued. This involves a proactive approach to understanding their needs and providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary for their success. You will be instrumental in driving awareness and facilitating the adoption of FNB Life, Investment, and a broader range of FirstRand solutions among your network of advisors.
Key Responsibilities
This role demands a multifaceted approach, combining sales acumen with deep product knowledge and excellent client service. Your day-to-day activities will involve:
- **Relationship Management:** Proactively engaging with Independent Financial Advisors to build and strengthen professional relationships. This involves understanding their business objectives and how FNB's offerings can support them.
- **Product Expertise and Training:** Providing comprehensive product guidance, support, and training to advisors. This requires an in-depth understanding of FNB's investment, insurance, and other financial products to effectively field queries and demonstrate value.
- **Business Development:** Identifying and actively pursuing new business development opportunities to drive sales growth and expand FNB's footprint within the IFA market.
- **Exceptional Service Delivery:** Ensuring that the service and solutions provided consistently exceed advisor expectations, fostering loyalty and long-term partnerships.
- **Facilitating Collaboration:** Acting as a bridge between advisors and FNB's product specialists to address complex client requirements and ensure seamless integration of solutions.
- **Market Awareness:** Staying abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and ongoing product enhancements to provide timely and relevant advice to advisors.

- A Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is the minimum requirement.
- An NQF 5 qualification in a relevant field.
- A minimum of three to five years of experience as a Broker Consultant, specifically within the Investments and IFA environment.
- At least three years of experience in Life Assurance.
Beyond formal qualifications, strong interpersonal and technical skills are vital. Ideal candidates will possess:
